Our Cloud Mist is a beautifully processed green tea made from fresh spring buds in beautiful Jiangxi, China. A fitting name for this mountainous region, as the Jiangxi peaks tower above the clouds and the subtropical climate makes for a humid and misty spring.
The tea is delightful, with rich and sweet umami notes ever present while touches of floral notes intertwine with a creamy mouthfeel. Unfortunately I'm dealing with some allergies at the moment and didn't do a super thorough note on my initial tastings, so that's all I've got at the moment.
I would highly recommend this tea to anyone that enjoys the more thick, savory green teas over the light and springy types.
Pre-Qing Ming: Qing Ming is a festival held on the 15th day after the spring equinox in China (either April 4th or April 5th each year). Teas (in particular green teas) picked prior to this date are generally considered to be the highest quality harvest of the year. When tasting our Pre-Qing Ming teas, it's not hard to see why!
